Dinyar Sarkari a Landlord, from Uppingham Avenue, Stanmore, North London has been fined £5000
and given a suspended prison sentence after a gas boiler was fitted illegally at a Luton Home that he rented out, which
endangered a family and their children.
Mr Sakari agreed to install a new boiler, but he used illegal gas fitters. Following the work , the tenants suspected
that the gas was escaping from the installation and called the emergency providers. Engineers turned off the gas supply
and informed the Health and Safety Executive. The Landlord then provided false documentation as evidence of his
gas safety certificate.
The HSE stated that Mr Sakari had shown a disregard for the tenants safety and put their lives at risk.
