WHY DO YOU NEED A NEW BOILER?

This is a question you must ask yourself. We often get customers saying they need a new boiler because it has stopped working, or because another company could not get parts to repair it anymore. Or maybe your gas bill has gone through the roof!

Firstly if your boiler has stopped working it does not necessarily mean it needs replacing. We carry out repairs to all makes of boilers and it could be easier and cheaper to have it repaired.

Some boilers do have known reliability problems or if a major part or multiple parts have failed then it will be more cost effective to replace it.

There are number of firms around ( which we cannot name) that will tell you that the parts are no longer available and the boiler needs replacing.

Sometimes this is utter rubbish. We have been able to source parts quite easily and carry out repairs to these so called "un-repairable boilers" .

You should be very careful before you give these companies the Go Ahead. they may be right on some occasions as manufacturers do stop making parts for very old boilers.

If your boiler is  over 15 years old  it may be more sensible to replace it as you will find that it will get more unreliable and more inefficient due to scale or sludge building up in the appliance.

Your boiler may have been condemned and turned off with a warning label attached, stating " DANGEROUS-DO NOT USE".

There can be various reasons for this and we would advise that you get a professional Gas Safe Engineer to inspect it, ( Like us) and advise you if replacement is necessary. You may find that we will be able to fix it,

Some customers just want a new boiler so that they have the latest , most efficient system.

New condensing boilers are far more efficient then their predecessors and are either SEDBUK band A OR B rated. This means that they cost less to run. We have saved some customers over £500.00 -£700.00 per annum on their gas bills in the first year. So from this point of view replacement makes sense.

So to sum up , there are different reasons to install a new boiler . Just make sure it is the right reason.
